O R D E R

% 18.07.2017 Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, states that he would not be pressing the present writ petition for absorption in the Intelligence Bureau as the petitioner on repatriation to CRPF had sought voluntary retirement, which was granted with effect from 30th April, 2017. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not been paid arrears of pay from the date of rejoining, i.e. 4th January, 2016 till July, 2016. Counsel for the respondents states that if the said arrears have not been paid, the same would be calculated and paid within a reasonable period.

We dispose of the writ petition as infructuous. However, we would direct the respondents to make payment of arrears for the aforesaid period, if

any, within a period of two months from today. Even if no arrears are payable, the respondents would write a communication within two months giving details of the payment made. In case, the petitioner is aggrieved by any order passed by the respondents in this regard, it will be open to him to challenge the same in accordance with law.
