The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 CrPC, for issuance of direction to the respondents to remove the name of the petitioner from the surveillance register maintained by them.

Status report has been filed on behalf of the State. 3.
Ms. Richa Kapoor, learned ASC for the State submits that as the petitioner is inactive for last many years, his prayer will be considered by the State within 8 weeks.

In view of the above assurance having been given by the learned ASC for the State, petitioner wants to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the Court, if necessity arises. 5.
The present writ petition is dismissed as withdraw granting the liberty as prayed.
