By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C., petitioner has made the following prayers:- a) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the respondents to apprise the petitioner and this Hon'ble Court about the decision of the Sentence Review Board qua the reference of the pre mature release of the petitioner in terms of the guidelines; and b) Call for the record/minutes of meeting of the Sentence Reviewing Board (SRB) in which the case of the petitioner for pre-mature release was referred in August, 2015.

Today none has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. W.P.(CRL) 2815/2015

Mr.Rahul Mehra, St.Counsel for the State while furnishing the copy of the status report has submitted that case of the petitioner for pre-mature release of the petitioner has been considered and rejected by the Sentence Review Board.
