$~55 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(C) 607/2016 & C.M.No.2496/2016 SONU KUMAR ..... Petitioner Through Ms.Shweta Kapoor, Advocate.
versus CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION ..... Respondent Through Mr.Atul Kumar, Advocate.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANMOHAN
O R D E R
% 25.01.2016 The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to rectify the names of parents as well as the date of birth of the petitioner in the official records and to issue fresh marksheets and certificates of Secondary School Education and Senior Secondary School Education after carrying out the aforementioned changes.
It has been averred that the respondent has mentioned the petitioner's father name as Sh.Ranveer instead of Sh.Uma Shankar and mother's name as Smt.Sheela instead of Smt.Illaychi. It is also stated that the petitioner's date of birth has been incorrectly printed as 12.03.1993 instead of 15.10.1992.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the said mistakes are causing great difficulty to the petitioner in obtaining admission in the academic institutions.
Since the petitioner's application has been rejected not on the basis of the law prevalent on the date when the application was made, the impugned order dated 7th April, 2015 is set aside and the respondent is directed to reconsider the petitioner's application in accordance with law that was prevalent on the date of the application. The respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation as expeditiously as possible.
With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition and the application are disposed of.
Order dasti.
