By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has made the following prayers:- a) To direct the Commissioner of Police to provide police protection for the petitioner and his wife;

b) To direct the parents of the petitioner's wife not to interfere in any manner with the petitioner's liberty.

None has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. 3.

Status report has been filed by the State mentioning as under:- "During the course of enquiry, family members of girl Aafrin were examined on 20th December, 2015. Sh.Jamir Ahmad S/o Late Abdul Rashid R/o H. No.5, Sahi Masjid Road, Bhogal, New Delhi (father of girl) gave his written statement W.P.(CRL) 2816/2015

that since his daughter has already got married with Amit Rajak, now onward he will not interfere in the life of his daughter.

Further, beat staff has been briefed to keep a watch at the residence of the petitioner and telephone numbers of beat staff as well as senior police officers of PP Jangpura and PS Hazrat Nizamuddin has been provided to him to contact police in case he get any threat from the family of his in laws." 4.

Along with the status report, copy of the handwritten communication by Sh.Jamir Ahmad, father of the wife of the petitioner addressed to SHO, Police Station, Nizamuddin has also been annexed wherein he has stated that he has no objection to the marriage of his daughter with Amit Rajak, petitioner herein and they need not apprehend any danger from him. 5.

In the given circumstances, it appears that petitioner is no more interested in prosecuting this petition.

The petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. Crl.M.A.17769/2015 Dismissed as infructuous.
