By filing the present petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the respondent to release the petitioner on furlough for a period three weeks as ordered by DGP vide order dated 22.06.2015, on furnishing personal bond/cash security only.

Perusal of the record shows that vide order dated 22.06.2015 passed by DG (Prisons), the petitioner has been granted furlough for a period of three weeks on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of concerned Superintendent.

Considering the gravity of the offence for which the Petitioner is undergoing sentence i.e. for committing the offence punishable under Section 302 IPC, no ground is made out to allow the prayer of the Petitioner for his release on personal bond and/or deposit of cash security in lieu of surety bond.
