O R D E R
% 27.01.2016 (1) Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner for quashing of FIR No.638/14 under Sections 354/354-A IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka. It is stated that the matter has been settled with the complainant/respondent No.2 amicably.
(2) Respondent No.2-complainant is present before the Court along with her counsel and is identified by him. I have enquired from the complainant whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner CRL.M.C. 5036/2015
amicably without fear and pressure. She has informed that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure before Mediation Centre, Dwarka court. Pursuant to the settlement a demand draft bearing No.920050, dated 10.12.2015 a the sum of `1,00,000/- has been given to the complainant today in the court. She has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.
(3) The petition is supported by the affidavits of the parties. Settlement/Compromise deed dated 04.12.2014 signed by the parties is on record.
(4) Since the matter has been settled between the parties; the parties are closely related to each other and the divorce by mutual consent has already been granted with the husband of the complainant, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.638/14 under Sections 354/354-A IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka and all the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
(5) The petition and all pending application(s) stand disposed of accordingly.
