The present petition has been filed by the petitioners praying inter alia for issuing writ of mandamus to the respondent/RPF to post them at any place of their choice as per the option given, vide Standing Order No.94 dated 27.8.2009, regarding zone allotment to them.

Counsel for the petitioners states that before approaching this Court, the petitioners had made several representations to the respondent regarding implementation of the aforesaid Standing Order pertaining to exercising options of three places of choice of zonal postings, but to no avail.

In support of the said submission, he relies upon the documents collectively filed as Annexure P-4 (colly) that include representations made by the petitioners right upto 25.8.2015. W.P.(C) 500/2016

It is stated that the respondent has failed to reply to any of the said representations, thus, leaving the petitioner with no other option but to approach this Court.

Mr.

Jagjit Singh, learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance copy, assures the Court that the respondent shall respond to the pending representations of the petitioners, if granted some time.

The respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner in the light of para 14 (c) of the Standing Order dated 27.8.2009, and pass a speaking order under written intimation to the petitioners within four weeks from today.

Needless to state that if the grievance of the petitioners still survives, they shall be entitled to seek their remedies in accordance with law.

The writ petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications.
