% 13.09.2025 Appellant insurance company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 22.07.2015 passed by the Learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs. 56,71,000/- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. On appeal, the insurance company deposited entire awarded amount with up to date interest in terms of the order dated 05.01.2016 passed by this Hon'ble Court before the Registrar General Delhi High Court and 50% of the awarded amount was directed to be released. We have interaction with the Ld. Counsel/Parties concerned, it is submitted on instruction that the Ld. Counsel for the Appellant wishes to withdraw the appeal and the Ld. Counsel for the Responder has no objection.

In view of the settlement, it is directed that the balance amount lying deposited with accrued interest before the Ld. Registrar is directed to be released to the Respondent /Claimant(s) in terms of the award of the tribunal. It is further directed that the statutory amount with interest if any, be refunded to the Insurance Company within four weeks.

In terms of the aforesaid, the present appeal along with pending application (s) stand disposed of with directions in terms of the settlement.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned learned Tribunal with TCR, if already received.
