% 08.02.2016 Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents to correct the date of birth of the petitioner to 5th March, 1992 in place of 24th February, 1994.

A perusal of the paper book reveals that on 4th December, 2014, petitioner has moved an application for rectification of the date of birth in the identity certificate on the basis of correct date of birth mentioned in the marksheet of Senior Secondary Examination, School Leaving Certificate and other relevant documents.

It is the case of the petitioner that the said application dated 4th December, 2014 has not been disposed of till date. Consequently, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.1 to decide the petitioner‟s application dated 4th December, 2014 within a period of eight weeks. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
