versus STATE (GNCT OF DELHI) & ANR ..... Respondents Through :Mr. Ashish Aggarwal, ASC with Inspector Rajesh Shah, P.S. Gandhi Nagar for the respondent no. 1 Respondent no. 2 in person.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 28.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 585/2015 under Sections 324/34 IPC registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by Inspector Rajesh Shah, P.S. Gandhi Nagar. Respondent no. 2 further submits that he has settled the matter with petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. He further submits that he is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.
In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, I am of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 585/2015 under Sections 324/34 IPC registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
