By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking direction to State to provide security to the petitioner and his family. 2.
Status report has been filed by the State to the following effect:- "It is pertinent to mention here that one of the accused namely Abdul Hameed has already been arrested and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused persons. It is further pertinent to mention here that after the incident of 15.11.2015 no complaint has been received from the petitioner regarding the alleged threat by the accused persons as alleged in the instant writ petition. It is further submitted that the Chowki Incharge as well as the Beat Staff have already been directed to ensure safety and security of the petitioner and his family members and ensure that accused persons do not threaten them
and to main peace and decorum in the vicinity. It is further submitted that the Investigating Officer has also been directed to intensify efforts to arrest the remaining accused persons." 3.
Mr.Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel for the State submits that the number of concerned SHO will be given to the petitioner to enable him to contact in case of any threat perception.

As the State has assured to provide necessary protection to the petitioner till the threat persists, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
