% 31.01.2018 C.M. No.2331/2018(for withdrawal) This is an application moved by the petitioners seeking withdrawal of the present writ petition. Vide the present petition, the petitioners had prayed for setting aside the Elections of the respondent no.2 Council held in 2015. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the fact that 3 years have already passed and fresh elections are likely to be held within next six months, he does not wish to press the present petition and seeks liberty to challenge the fresh election, if the need so arises, on all available grounds including grounds taken in the present petition.

The petition is disposed of as not pressed.

Needless to say that in case the petitioners are aggrieved by the elections which may be held in the future, it will be open to them to

challenge the same in accordance with law and the respondents would also be free to take all pleas as available in law. REKHA PALLI, J JANUARY 31, 2018 sr
