O R D E R

% 17.12.2015 The petitioner was released on parole by order dated 01.10.2015 passed in W.P.(CRL) 1425/2015.

The petitioner was required to furnish bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent for his release on parole. The petitioner could not arrange for two sureties as only his wife became agreeable to stand as surety for him.

Considering such circumstances, the order dated 01.10.2015 was modified by order dated 6.11.2015.

The petitioner was directed to be released on furnishing bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount.

After the modification of the order as indicated above, the petitioner

was released on parole.

The period of parole expires tomorrow i.e.18.12.2015.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the medical papers annexed with the petition. The petitioner is required to undergo cataract operation. The period of parole could not be utilized for the same as the petitioner had high sugar level and his blood pressure was also on the higher side. He was medically advised to have his situation reviewed after some time.

For the aforesaid purpose, the present petition has been filed seeking extension of the period of parole for a further period of four weeks. Considering the aforesaid circumstances, the parole of the petitioner is extended for a further period of three weeks, to be counted from the date when the first parole period expires. The other conditions which were imposed on the petitioner shall subsist.

The petitioner shall surrender positively after the expiry of period of extended parole.

With these observations, the petition is disposed of. A copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent of the concerned Jail for information and compliance. Dasti.
