O R D E R

% 29.01.2018 The petitioner who is an Assistant Professor in Urdu Department of Delhi University has vide the present petition sought a direction to respondent no.1 to conduct a thorough and independent enquiry against the respondent nos.2 & 3 comprising of experts to look into the instances of plagiarism and take consequential action in accordance with ordinance XI of the University. Mr.Rupal, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 has not filed any counter affidavit and fairly submits that the matter needs consideration of the University and the University will consider the matter as expeditiously as possible and pass a reasoned and speaking order on the complaints made by the petitioner after

involving experts as deemed appropriate.

At this stage, learned counsel for the respondent nos.2 & 3 submits that they have also subsequently made a complaint of the similar nature against the petitioner. Mr.Rupal submits that while deciding the complaint made by the petitioner, the respondent no.1 will also look into the counter complaints made against the petitioner. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.1 to pass a reasoned and speaking order on the complaints made by the petitioner within three months. A copy of the decision taken by the respondent no.1 would be furnished to the petitioner as well as to respondent no.2 and 3.

Needless to say if any of the party is aggrieved by the decision taken by the respondent no.1, it will be open to them to take legal recourse as permissible under law.

The writ petition is disposed.
