+ BAIL APPLN. 1/2016 MOHD SIKANDAR ..... Petitioner Through Mr.I.A. Alvi, Adv.
versus STATE (NCT OF DELHI) ..... Respondent Through Mr.Rajat Katyal, APP for the State.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE P.S.TEJI
O R D E R
% 28.01.2016 The present petition has been filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail which came up for hearing before this Court on 4th January, 2016 when the accused was granted interim protection to the extent that he shall not be arrested in this case and the matter was adjourned on that date for 11th January, 2016. The matter came up for hearing on 11th January, 2016, 27th January, 2016 and now for today i.e. 28th January, 2016. The status report has been filed by the police in which the petitioner was asked to join investigation on 18th January, 2016 at 12:00 noon at EOW office for further interrogation in the case but the petitioner/accused
did not appear on that date. Apparently, the accused is absconding from investigation as well as from this Court. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner does not deserve the concession of anticipatory bail. The present petition for grant of anticipatory bail is dismissed.
