O R D E R

% 07.01.2016 The petitioner has sought directions against the respondent no.1, the Enforcement Directorate, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, for supply of copy of ECIR/02/HQ/HIU/2015 along with all the documents and annexures which had not been given to the petitioner. A further prayer has been made by the petitioner for a direction to the CBI (respondent no.3) to provide him with the copy of the documents which was seized by the CBI when a raid had been conducted at the residence, office and other premises of the petitioner on 26.09.2015. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that those documents

are required for answering to the questions put forth by the Enforcement Directorate, Government of India.

During the course of hearing of this application, Mr.Patwalia, Additional Solicitor General, Government of India, submitted that since the documents have been seized from the house, office and other premises of the petitioner, there would be no difficulty in furnishing photocopies of the documents to him as and when required.

Mr.Tushar Mehta, Additional Solicitor General, Government of India, has also handed over a photocopy of the ECIR to Mr.Kapil Sibal, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner. But the copy of ECIR supplied does not contain any annexures or attending documents. The photocopy of the documents which have been seized from the residence and other premises of the petitioner shall be furnished to either the petitioner or his authorised representative, who shall approach the office of the CBI on 08.01.2016 at 10:30 a.m.

Since the respondents have taken a decision of handing over a copy of the ECIR and photocopy of the documents seized from the premises of the petitioner, no lis remains to be decided.

The grievance of the petitioner stands completely redressed so far as the prayer in this petition is concerned.

The petition is thus disposed of.

In view of the petition having been disposed of, the instant application has become infructuous.

The application is disposed of accordingly.
