2015-09-16R.Kantha Rao3 pages

HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.KANTHA RAO Writ Petition No.30303 of 2015 Order:

Heard Sri V.Ch. Naidu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Smt. M.Vidyavathi, learned Standing Counsel for Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT)-respondents 1 and 2.

2. This writ petition is filed questioning the action of the 2nd respondent in issuing the proceedings dated 18-8-2015 terminating the services of the petitioner with effect from 17-9-2015 as illegal and arbitrary.

3. The petitioner is a retired Professor.

He was appointed as a Visiting Faculty in Civil Engineering Department in the 1st respondent-Institution. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the impugned proceedings do not contain any reasons for termination. The order dated 31-8-2013 whereunder the petitioner was appointed clearly shows that the appointment may be terminated by either party giving one month notice or payment of one month salary in lieu thereof on either side. Therefore, this Court is of the view that the termination order does not contain any reasons.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed at the stage of admission. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
