CVNR, J & GSP, J WP.No.37923 of 2016 Dt:31.08.2018 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for issue of Certiorari for quashing order, dated 24.8.2016, in F.A.No.253 of 2015 on the file of the Telangana State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad (for short 'the Commission') and also order, dated 14.10.2015, in Consumer Complaint No.334 of 2012 of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-III at Hyderabad. Under Section-21 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (for short 'the Act'), the petitioners have a remedy of revision against the orders impugned in this Writ Petition.

In Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Housing Societies Federation Ltd., Hyderabad Vs. A.P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad1, a Division Bench of this Court held that the remedy of Revision under Section-21 of the Act is an effective alternative remedy and that therefore, a Writ Petition filed bypassing the said remedy need not be entertained. No reasons have been assigned by the petitioners to treat this Writ Petition as an exception to the rule of alternative remedy. In the light of the above, we are not inclined to adjudicate the Writ Petition on merits. Instead, the petitioners are relegated to the remedy of revision in terms of the above observations. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. 1 2015(5) ALD 695 (DB)

CVNR, J & GSP, J WP.No.37923 of 2016 Dt:31.08.2018 As a sequel to disposal of the Writ Petition, WPMP.No.46718 of 2016 filed by the petitioners for interim relief is dismissed as infructuous.
