This Court made the following:
CVNR, J & GSP, J WP No.28963/2016 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying Affidavit, the Petitioner herein prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to appoint a Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Hyderabad and pass such other or further orders as are deemed fit and proper in the circumstances of the above case."
After the case was adjourned on three occasions, for an appropriate direction to the respondents to take effective steps for appointment of the Presiding Officer for the Debts Recovery Tribunal, Hyderabad (New), Mr. R. Sridhar, learned Additional Standing Counsel for Central Government, has placed before us a fax copy of letter, dated 23.09.2016, addressed to the Registrar (Vigilance); wherein, it has been informed that Smt. Sivadi Praveena, Special Judge for Economic Offences, Hyderabad, has been selected and appointed as Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal, Hyderabad (New), and she was also requested to take charge of the said post immediately or before 22.10.2016, positively.
Mr. P. Ravi Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that in the light of the appointment of Presiding Officer of the Debts Recovery Tribunal, Hyderabad (New), the grievance of the petitioner stood redressed.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.
As a sequel to closure of the Writ Petition, W.P.M.P. No.35852 of 2016, shall stand dismissed as infructuous.
