.. Respondents This court made the following :
- 2 - THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.215 OF 2020 ORDER :
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue for the respondents. 2.
According to petitioner, his father late Yellaiah along with three brothers were equal share holders of land to an extent of Ac.14-17 guntas in Sy.No.86 and Ac.7-39 guntas in Sy.No.87 of Jonnalabogada Village, Peddakothapally Mandal. In the family partition, each brother got Ac.3-24 guntas in Sy.No.86 and Ac.2-00 in Sy.No.87 and accordingly, pass books were issued. While so, petitioner now alleges that in the revenue records the entries are changed and names of other family members are shown on certain extents of land claimed by the petitioner as belonging to him. 3.
On 05.08.2019, petitioner filed a complaint in Prajavani Redressal Mechanism alleging that while O.S.No.124 of 2018 is pending in the Court of Junior Civil Judge, Kollapur, Nagarkurnool District, revenue records are changed and the same shall be rectified. Alleging inaction on the said application, this writ petition is filed.
4.
Learned Government pleader produced copy of the endorsement dated 14.10.2019, given to the petitioner in response to the grievance agitated in Prajavani, informing him that if he is aggrieved by the entries made in the revenue records, the remedy of appeal has to be availed and the grievance cannot be redressed by the Tahsildar or the District Collector.
- 3 - 5.
Independent of the endorsement given, as per the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, if a person is aggrieved by the entries made by the Tahsildar, in revenue records, he has to avail the remedy of appeal and he cannot give a complaint in Prajavani and no such rectification exercise can be undertaken in the said redressal mechanism.
6.
Thus, granting liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal, the Writ Petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
