HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.25172 OF 2003 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to set aside the proceedings dated 09.04.2003, issued by the 2nd respondent confirming the proceedings dated 22.11.2002, issued by the 3rd respondent imposing punishment of withholding of one increment for a period of two years without cumulative effect as bad, illegal and arbitrary. A consequential direction is also sought to the respondents not to effect the A.C.R of the petitioner detrimental to his career. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the stoppage of one increment for a period of two years without cumulative effect is being challenged and the said currency of punishment is over and the petitioner would get back the increments after currency of punishment and no cause would survive as on today in the writ petition in view of the expiry of currency of punishment.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
