THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.6331 of 2012 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner in this case was as to the alleged illegal mining operations carried out by the 6th respondent in and around Chebrole Village and Mandal, Guntur District.

The Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Guntur, filed a counter-affidavit stating that the lease in question was granted to one Sri B.Venkayamma and not the 6th

respondent and the said lease was in force only up to 07.03.2014. The alleged activities and interference by the 6th respondent was stated to be beyond the purview of the mining authorities.

No reply affidavit was filed denying or rebutting the counter-affidavit averments. In that view of the matter, it is clear that the cause in this writ petition does not survive owing to expiry of the lease granted by the mining authorities. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
