This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.717 of 2010 pending on the file of II Additional Junior Civil Judge, Bhimavaram, which was transferred to I Additional Junior Civil Judge, Bhivamavarm and renumbered as C.C.No.54 of 2017, for the offence punishable under Section 498-A read with 34 IPC, against the accused. Though the petition is filed on various grounds, the only request made by learned counsel for the petitioners is that to issue a direction to the I Additional Junior Civil Judge, Bhimavaram to dispose of the matter in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, as the matter is pertaining to the year 2010.

Therefore, taking into consideration of the date of incident and filing of charge sheet, it is a fit case to direct the I Additional Junior Civil Judge to dispose of the calendar case. Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed of, without touching the merits of the case, directing the I Additional Junior Civil Judge, Bhimavaram to dispose of C.C.No.54 of 2017 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions in the petition, if any, shall stand closed.
