THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.16865 OF 2017 ORDER:

The action of respondent No.2, in passing the impugned order dated 03.05.2017 to freeze the account of the petitioner in respondent No.3 - Bank, is questioned in this Writ Petition as being illegal and arbitrary. Petitioner states that respondent No.2 acquired his agricultural land at Swarnavarigudem Village, Jeelugumilli Mandal, West Godavari District, for the purpose of Polavaram Project; award was passed and compensation was deposited in respondent No.3 - Bank; when he approached respondent No.3 - Bank, impugned order dated 03.05.2017 was handed over stating that his account was freezed; he, therefore, made representation dated 04.05.2017 to respondent No.2 to de-freeze his account; and, as no orders are passed on the said representation, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I consider it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2017 and, if the authority finds merit in the same, necessary action be taken in accordance with law.

With the above observation, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
