HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.15691 OF 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents 1 and 2, in canceling the notification dated 1.6.2001 and issuing notification dated 28.5.2002, while doing away with reservations for OBC category, but selecting and appointing only the respondents 3 and 4.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has challenged the reservations policy in the recruitment process, and that the selections were conducted and in pursuance of the selection, candidates were appointed.

In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the policy of reservations.

With these observations, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall also stand closed.
