HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRL.P.No.142 OF 2018 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking a direction against the III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District to decide Crl.A.No.42 of 2015 filed against the judgment dated 18.12.2014 in C.C.No.1 of 2014 passed by the X Special Magistrate, L.B.Nagar, Ranga Reddy District, wherein the respondent was found guilty for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for one year and to pay compensation of Rs.30,00,000/-, in default to undergo simple imprisonment for one month.

The only contention before this Court is that the appellant was dragging the proceedings without any reason and that the petitioner and the respondent already advanced arguments in the month of August, 2017 and requested this Court to issue such direction.

No doubt there is justification in making such request, but the Court is not supposed to give undue preference to this case only without deciding the old matters pending before it. In any way of the matter, the III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar is directed to decide Crl.A.No.42 of 2015 in accordance with law as

expeditiously as possible without giving any undue preference to this matter alone.

With the above directions, the criminal petition is disposed of.

Pending miscellaneous petitions in the petition, if any, shall stand closed.
