This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking to declare the action of respondents 2 to 6 in not causing arrest of respondents 7 to 14 and not filing charge sheet in spite of registration of F.I.R No.443 of 2016, dated 06.07.2016 on the file of Station House Officer, Jeedimetla Police Station, Cyberabad District, as arbitrary and illegal. 2.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents 1 to 6. Perused the record.

There is no dispute with regard to the petitioners filing the complaint, basing on which the respondent-police registered the aforesaid crime for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 425, 463, 464, 468, 469, 499, 506 and 120B I.P.C. It is also borne from the record that the investigation is not completed and final report is filed.

The grievance of the petitioners is that the Investigating Officer is not conducting the investigation expeditiously in the subject crime.

In the given circumstances, since the report in the subject crime was lodged on 06.07.2016, expeditious investigation and filing of final report is required.

Under these circumstances, the 6th respondent-Station House Officer, Jeedimetla Police Station, Cyberabad District, is directed to expedite the investigation and file final report in the subject crime, preferably within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
