ORDER

This criminal petition under sections 437 and 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is filed by the petitioner-accused seeking to grant bail in connection with Cr.No.801 of 2015-16 of Parigi Excise Station, Ranga Reddy Distrirct, registered for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii) of NDPS Act, 1985.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. It is alleged that on 03.11.2015, while the Excise Officials were conducting a routine check on the main road of Gandriyal Village, Gandeed Mandal, they found the accused in possession of 2 Kgs of Diazepam for the purpose of illegal transportation.

4. The petitioner is in judicial custody since 03.11.2015. Since the contraband seized from the possession of the accused is a commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to him. 5.

Hence, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand dismissed. _____________________ JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO 10th February, 2016 sj
