Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue. The only grievance of the petitioners is that respondent No.2, having received the Rectification Deed dt.23.09.2019 and assigned pending Registration No.P/147/2019 on 06.12.2019 as per the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908, is not releasing the said document. Hence, the present writ petition.

In this writ petition, having entertained the Rectification Deed by assigning pending Registration No.P/147/2019 on 06.12.2019, it is for respondent No.2 to take appropriate action on the said document. If he wants to register the same, the same has to be registered and released to the petitioners and if he wants to refuse registration of the said document, he can do so by assigning reasons therefor. It is made clear that such exercise shall be completed within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

ARR,J W.P.No.395 of 2020 As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
