THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE T.VI NOD KUMAR WRI T PETI TI ON No.878 of 2020 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed questioning inaction of the 4th respondent in investigating into Crime No.422 of 2018, dated 09.07.2018, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 403, 406, 426, 506 and 120B IPC on the file of the 4th respondent Police Station, as being illegal and arbitrary.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, dated 07.01.2020, submits that on registering the above complaint, the 4th respondent took up investigation. During the course of investigation, witnesses were examined and their statements were recorded and notices under Sections 91/160 Cr.P.C. were served on the accused on 09.07.2018, 12.07.2018 and 14.07.2018 calling upon the petitioner to produce relevant documents in respect of the land in question, including agreements. Thereafter, the 4th respondent obtained transaction details between both the parties from the concerned banks. Learned AGP further submits that the investigation in the matter is completed and after obtaining permission from the higher officials, case will be finalized.

In the light of the aforestated submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader on behalf of the official respondents, no further orders need be passed, except stating that the authorities would take further action in the matter as expeditiously as possible.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
