This petition is filed, by the petitioners, seeking for quash of the proceedings against them in Crime No.50 of 2013 on the file of I Town Police Station, Guntur District.

The offences alleged are under Sections 498A, 312, 307 and 506 IPC ad Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2.

The Public Prosecutor files a Memo stating that the matter is settled between the parties before Lok Adalat vide Lok Adalat Case No.150 of 2015 on 13.06.2015. Copy of the award is also enclosed along with the Memo.

Hence, considering the above, this court opines that continuation of further proceedings against the petitioners would be an abuse of process of law.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings against the petitioners in Crime No.50 of 2013 on the file of I Town Police Station, Guntur District, are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
