THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE DR JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER Suo Motu Contempt Case No.833 of 2017 ORDER: {Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan} The respondent-contemnor is present in Court. By our order in Review Petition No.191 of 2017 in WP (PIL).No.103 of 2017 dated 26.04.2017 we had recorded the unconditional apology tendered by the respondent-contemnor for his conduct on 18.04.2017 and set aside the order passed by us in W.P (PIL).No.103 of 2017 dated 18.04.2017 to the limited extent suo motu contempt proceedings were initiated against the respondent-contemnor for having committed contempt on the face of the Court under Section 14(1) of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. However, in the interregnum, this contempt case was registered and is, therefore, listed before us today. In the light of the order passed in Review Petition No.191 of 2017 in WP (PIL).No.103 of 2017 dated 26.04.2017, we see no reason to proceed further against the respondent-contemnor under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

The Suo Motu Contempt Case is, accordingly, closed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
