The grievance of the petitioner is that on 16.9.1998, 10 posts of shramik were advertised and the petitioner responded to the said notification and he was provisionally selected as shramik, but he was not given any appointment, and in respect of other selected candidates, appointments were given and their services were also regularized and in those set of circumstances, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is informed by the parties that while admitting this writ petition, this Court issued an interim direction to consider the case of the petitioner and in pursuance of the same, the petitioner was appointed as shramik and his services were also regularized, and subsequently, he was promoted as mechanic, and now, it is the grievance of the petitioner that his services were not regularized on par with the persons, who were appointed in pursuance of the notification dated 16.9.1998.

Having considered the submissions made by the parties and the grievance of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the petitioner to make a representation to regularize his services on par with the persons, who were appointed in pursuance of the notification dated 16.9.1998. 4.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to make a representation to regularize his services on par with the persons, who were appointed in pursuance of the notification dated 16.9.1998, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such representation being received, the respondents shall consider and pass appropriate orders within four weeks thereafter. No costs.
