Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in not considering the application of the petitioner dated 29-08-2016 for release of the tractor bearing No.AP31 U 3150 and Trailor No.AP 5 TD 3584 seized on 27-08-2016, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the driver of the tractor is only transporting rice without any knowledge of the petitioner. Inspite of the same, the 2nd respondent has not passed any orders on the application of the petitioner. Heard learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies.

In view of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to release the subject vehicle to the petitioner on production of ownership certificates and also furnishing sufficient security pending disposal of Enquiry under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
