O R D E R

Alleging that the 3rd respondent - Circle Inspector of Police, in summoning the petitioner to the police station without there being any crime registered against him and making him to stay in the police station for hours together, the present writ petition came to be filed. The learned Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, while opposing the writ averments, would submit that the respondent No.3 never summoned the petitioner to the police station. Having regard to the facts and circumstances and the submissions of the learned counsel, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, directing that respondents not to summon the petitioner to the police station, except by following the due process of law.

No order as to costs.
