Heard Sri Midhun Kumar Allu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare for respondents 1 to 5.

2. The petitioner is Anganwadi Helper of Rajakapeta, Anganwadi center, Code No.17 Ponnur village & Mandal. It is submitted that she possessed all requisite qualifications to be promoted as Anganwadi Worker. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that as per the norms prescribed by the Government, if an Anganwadi Helper, who is eligible for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker is available, her case has to be considered to be appointed as Anganwadi Worker. The petitioner submitted an application dated 14-9-2015 to consider her case for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker. The same is pending with the authorities. While so, the respondents have been taking steps to fill up the post of Anganwadi Worker without considering the case of the petitioner, who is an Anganwadi Helper entitled for promotion.

3. Under these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker of Vallabharaopalem, Ponnur Mandal of Guntur district, subject to her eligibility as per the norms prescribed by the Government prior to filling up the post of Anganwadi Worker pursuant to the Notification dated 08-9-2015 issued by the respondents. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs. _______________
