This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is A8, in Crime No.76 of 2016 on the file of Chinturu Police Station, East Godavari District.

The offences alleged are under Sections 12(b) r/ w 34 IPC and Section 8(c) r/ w 20(b)(ii)(C) of NDPS Act.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

The allegations against this petitioner are that he was asked to be contacted by the CI of police and this petitioner when he contacted the CI of police, he asked him to wait and that he would again inform him. The said allegation would clearly imply that he was sailing along with other accused. 4.

From the above allegations, prima facie, it appears that the petitioner has committed the offences alleged against him. The nature of the offences does not entitle the petitioner for an anticipatory bail. Hence, this court opines that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

With the above observations, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner can file a petition seeking for regular bail by surrendering himself before the court below.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
