This writ petition is filed to declare the action of respondents 2 to 5 in not registering FIR, against respondents 6 to 8, on the basis of the written complaint of the petitioners, dated 07.12.2019, which was received by the respondents, on 09.12.2019, as illegal, arbitrary and unjust.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home obtained written instructions, dated 08.01.2020, from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Chatrainaka Police Station, Hyderabad City, wherein it is stated that, upon receipt of the above petition from the petitioners, the authorities made a General Diary entry and enquiry was done. During the course of enquiry, it was revealed that the mother of the petitioners gave a complaint stating that she is staying at her daughter's house on her will and also requested the 5th respondent, Station House Officer, to provide police protection to her as she is taking the cheque of Rs.24,70,000/- from the Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), upon which, the police have provided protection to her while taking cheque from the Commissioner, GHMC. It is further stated that a notice was sent to the petitioners on 10.12.2019 with a request to produce any documentary evidence or witnesses in support of their petition, dated 07.12.2019, but the petitioners failed to produce any evidence thereafter. As such, after
enquiry, a further notice was served on the petitioners on 29.12.2019 informing that the petition filed by them is closed as 'civil in nature'. 4.
Taking on record the aforestated written instructions, and since the authorities have issued notice informing the petitioners as to the action taken on their complaint, dated 07.12.2019, as 'civil in nature', it is open for the petitioners to approach the appropriate Forum seeking relief in accordance with law.

Subject to the above observation and liberty, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
