THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WP.No.6832 of 2016 ORDER :

The petitioners herein have filed an appeal under Section 4-A(1) of the Andhra Pradesh Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfer) Act, 1977 against an order dt.15.03.2012, passed by 4th respondent.

2. It is the specific contention of petitioners that no notice had been served on them before passing the order dt.15.03.2012 by 4th respondent. The petitioners have also filed an application seeking suspension of the order passed by 4th respondent on 23.01.2016. They contend that neither the appeal nor the application for suspension which has been numbered as I.A.No.F/105 of 2015 was being taken up by 3rd respondent even though more than one month has elapsed since filing of the appeal and the said application.

3. The learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Telangana), appearing for respondents, states that 3rd respondent will consider the said I.A. filed by petitioners within a period of two

(02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and will also dispose of the appeal within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. In view of the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of

directing 3rd respondent to pass orders in I.A.No.F/105 of 2015 in the appeal filed by petitioners challenging the order dt.15.03.2012, passed by 4th respondent within a period of two

(02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. He shall also dispose of the said appeal within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and communicate his decision thereon to petitioners.

5. In the meantime, the respondents are directed not to alter the nature of the land. Status quo prevailing as on to-day shall be maintained till the disposal of the appeal. No order as to costs.

6. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
