Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Services appearing for respondents. 2.
Petitioners filed this Writ Petition challenging the inaction of the 1st respondent in considering their request for providing equitable opportunities in the matter of promotion to the post of Assistant Pay and Accounts Officer proportionate to the cadre strength of Superintendents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contend that though representation dt.11-02-2016 has been submitted by the petitioners in that regard, and Memo dt.22-02-2016 has also been issued by the 1st respondent, no further action has been taken on petitioners' representation.

Learned Government Pleader for Services appearing for respondents states that 1st respondent will consider the said representation within eight (8) weeks and communicate his decision to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners within eight (8) weeks and communicate his decision to the petitioners. No costs.
