It is the case of the petitioner that her husband worked as Field Assistant under MGNRGES Scheme for eleven (11) years and he resigned from service with effect from 01.10.2017. The petitioner was appointed as Senior Mate by a resolution of the Gram Panchayat of Sativada dated 20.10.2017 in the presence of Janmabhoomi Programme Committee members to observe the MGNRGES works and entered the name of the petitioner in the computer list as a Senior Mate. The petitioner submitted a representation on 11.12.2017 to the respondents 2 to 5 to consider her case for appointment as Field Assistant of Sativada village, Gara Mandal, Srikakulam District. When no action was taken on the said representation, the present Writ Petition is filed. Though the petitioner's husband worked for eleven (11) years as Field Assistant and resigned on 01.10.

2017, the petitioner cannot claim any right for appointment in the vacancy caused by the resignation of her husband. The resolution if any passed by the Gram Panchayat of Sativada is not binding on the authorities. The authorities have to notify the vacancy and take action in accordance with law. In the circumstances, the Writ Petition fails and the same is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
