Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Respondent No.1 and the Standing Counsel for the respondent No.2.

It is the case of the petitioner that he made several representations including the representation dt. 23.05.2016 to the respondent No.1 for considering his candidature for promotion to the post of Junior Lecturer in the existing vacancy and the same is not being considered, he filed the present Writ Petition. Since the grievance of the petitioner is already placed before the competent authority, the competent authority shall consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondent No.1 to consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. The miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this case shall stand closed.
