ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "to issue any appropriate writ, order or direction, preferably a writ in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in not selecting to the post of Extension Officers Grade-I (Supervisor) in Women Development Child Welfare and Disabled Welfare Department in spite of she securing more marks as per the marks list and merit and selecting the low merit candidates and not disposing of the representation of the petitioner dt 8.1.2019 as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the 1st respondent to forthwith examine the candidature of the petitioner for the said post basing on her merit and include the petitioner in the selection list and pass such other order or orders may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri M.Karuna Sagar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Sri D.Bala Kishan Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent and learned Government Pleader for Services-II appearing for the 2nd respondent.

It is the case of the petitioner that she belongs to BC-A community. Pursuant to the notification dated 18.12.2017, she applied for the post of Extension Officer Grade-I. She secured 189 marks in the selection process and she was placed at No.35 in the select list. Hence, she submitted a representation dated 8.1.2019 to the respondents to include her name in the select list by duly taking into consideration the marks

obtained in the selection process. The respondents have neither passed any orders on the said representation nor included the name of the petitioner in the select list. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the select list by duly taking into consideration the marks secured by her in the selection process.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent submits that the petitioner is eligible to be included in the select list and that the representation of the petitioner dated 8.1.2019 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 8.1.2019 for her inclusion in the select list by duly taking into account the marks secured by her in the selection process. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
