Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Home.

Petitioners are claiming to be parents of Mr SK Yakub. Petitioners allege that on the allegation of registration of crime No.46 of 2018 under sections 420 and 506 IPC on the file of Khammam I Town Police Station against their son, police personnel are visiting their house, harassing and threatening them, causing lot of inconvenience to them and to their aged parents. According to petitioners, their son Mr SK Yakub left the family long ago and living on his own and petitioners are no way concerned with their son, therefore, even assuming that their son has committed some crime, there is no justification to harass and humiliate them.

In the written instructions furnished by the Inspector of Police, Khammam I Town Police station, it is stated that after registering Crime No.46 of 2018 on 5.3.2018, investigation was taken up and in the process of investigation, since petitioners are parents of accused who is alleged to have been involved in cheating innocent people, Investigating Officer visited the residence of petitioners and enquired about whereabouts of the accused. It is further stated that petitioners are not at all required for the purpose of investigation into the case and police never interfered with the life and liberty of petitioners. 4.

Recording the said statement and directing the police not to bother the petitioners unless any crime is registered against them, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
