Petitioners have apprehension that in the process of forming a road by converting the existing kacha road, the respondent authorities intend to widen the existing road by encroaching into the subject lands of the petitioners and trying to dispossess them from their lands. The apprehension is based on the tender notification called for by the competent authority. 3.

As rightly pointed out by learned Government Pleader for Revenue looking at the tender notification itself would show that the tender is called for improvements to Venkatapuram Muchavaram via Mittapally Naraiah Banjara road. Thus, it clearly signifies that it is an improvement undertaken by the respondent authorities, but not widening of the road. Therefore, the apprehension of the petitioners is baseless. However, if the petitioners still have apprehension that even in the process of improving the existing road, if the contractor or any other person would encroach into their land, it is open to them to complain to the appropriate authority and the authority concerned shall examine the same and take appropriate decision.

Subject to the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
