HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.12883 of 2016 ORDER:

1.

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to respondents Nos.2 to 4 not to shift the 4th respondent-Branch Office from the existing building. 2.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

It is the grievance of the petitioners that they are all residents of Bhadrachalam Town and they are policy holders of LIC attached to the 4th respondent Branch. At present, the Branch Office is located in the middle of the town and it is convenient to all the policy holders. While so, respondents Nos.3 and 4 are taking steps to shift the existing Branch Office from the present premises. On 11.4.2016 the petitioners made a representation to all the respondents. Despite the same, the respondents are taking steps to shift the existing Branch. 4.

Considering the circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioners, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"All the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 11.4.2016 and pass appropriate orders within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
