THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION NO.14747 OF 2017 ORDER:

Petitioner is an employee of Indian Railways and he seeks inclusion of name of his adopted son in the Service records. 2.

The service grievances of Indian Railways are vested in the Central Administrative Tribunal constituted under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 ("the Act, 1985" for brevity). The Central Administrative Tribunal is the Court of first instance for adjudicating service matters of the Central Government. Since the petitioner has an efficacious alternative remedy before the Central Administrative Tribunal, the Writ Petition is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the Central Administrative Tribunal under the Act, 1985. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand dismissed.
