Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home for respondents 1 to 3. 2.
This writ petition is filed alleging that the Motor cab vehicle of petitioner bearing registration No.TS-11UA-7638 was seized and detained by the respondent-Police without authority of law and the same is illegal.

Learned Government Pleader produced copy of F.I.R.No.865 of 2018 dated 10.09.2018 of Banjara Hills Police Station.

A reading of the F.I.R. would show that crime was registered alleging that the vehicle concerned was involved in an accident near TV 9 Signal and the driver of the vehicle left without stopping the vehicle. The accident caused injury to the left leg and left hand of the other person who was driving another vehicle and based on the complaint filed, crime was registered.

In view of the same, it cannot be said that the vehicle of the petitioner was seized without authority of law, as sought to be contended.

Thus, leaving it open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy as available in law, the Writ Petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed. __________________ P.NAVEEN RAO,J 23rd January, 2019 Rds
