THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.24763 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent Nos.2 to 7 in disposing of the representations dated 23.05.2016, 06.06.2016 and 15.06.2016 submitted by the petitioners and villagers to the respondents regarding the construction of new Gram Panchayat Building in the existing building premises or in any place in the centre of the Dondapadu Village, Mellacheruvu Mandal, Nalgonda District and proceeding with construction of new Gram Panchayat Building in the outskirts of the village, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of principles of natural justice.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (AP), the learned Government Pleader for Revenue (AP) and Sri G.Narender Reddy, the learned Standing Counsel for Z.P.P. and M.P.P.

The contention of the petitioners is that the respondents are taking steps to construct the Gram Panchayat building at a distance of two kilometres to the main village. He further submitted that if the respondents are allowed to construct the Gram Panchayat building at a distance of two kilometers, the same may cause much inconvenience to the villagers. He also submitted that the petitioners and villagers submitted representations to respondent Nos.2 and 3 on 23.05.2016 and 14.06.2016.

The only relief sought by the petitioners is to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 23.05.2016 and 14.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders in the best interest of the villagers.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representations of the petitioners and villagers dated 23.05.2016 and 14.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
